The controversy of cosmetic testing on animals does have a point to be made for both sides of this dispute.
We at Dermaxime do not test any products on animals nor do we include any animal products in our products.
The FDA (Federal Drug Administration) does not specifically mandate that products have to be tested on animals, but urges cosmetic manufacturers to ensure that their products are safe for use.

All ingredients used by us are safe, and their safety has been established beyond a shadow of a doubt, and therefore we are not required in terms of the
Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act to perform any animal testing.
Should a company use an untested ingredient in their products, they need to subject it to animal testing, since that is currently the only FDA approved method to determine safety.
When we formulate a product, the product is tested on human test volunteers to determine its effectiveness, since we only use safe ingredients.
Although the FDA supports and adheres to provisions of applicable laws, regulations and policies regarding animal testing, including the
Animal Welfare Act and the
Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals - this area is still a controversial one.
The moral and ethical right for human beings to use animals for testing purposes is opposed by a great many people, but it is still in the public interest to ensure that cosmetic ingredients are safe for human use.
Michael Meyer, the CEO of Dermaxime, is in principle against the use of animal testing, because of the morals issues involved, yet understands the need for safe human products.
For that reason Dermaxime do not use any un-safe or toxic ingredients, or any such ingredient that would require animal testing.
Formulations using safe ingredients are tested on human volunteers to check for any allergic reactions or contra-indications.
