With clothes continually compressing dead skin cells into our skin, we
need to regularly exfoliate the skin on our bodies, to promote silky, smooth,
radiant skin. This can be achieved in part with regular body brushing or using a loofah - which is the skeleton of a plant from the pumpkin family. But to obtain
the best results, a specialist product, like our Refining Body Scrub can be most
useful, as it not only contains an exfoliating medium, but a selection of active
ingredients to promote a soft, healthy and glowing skin.
This product has been discontinued.
When our research and development people started discussing a body scrub, they
looked at the market and found that there are literally thousands of body scrubs
on the market, in all shapes, sizes, colors and fragrances - yet none really
contain any active ingredients to bolster the quality of the skin, as they all
contained a scrubbing medium, and here and there an afterthought of an active
ingredient.
With this in mind, they then decided to break the mold and formulate a body
scrub, that not only contains scrubbing compounds, but an entire formulation of
active ingredients as well - and in doing this, they knew that this product
could never compete with its cheaper cousins, as the cost of the active
ingredients add an additional cost factor to the product, not found with the
other products on the market.
We included the above explanation on this web page for the benefit of our
visitors, which may wonder why our body scrub is more expensive than other body
scrubs on the market. As stated, the reason is that we include active
ingredients not normally found in other body scrubs, but since it is in keeping
with the philosophy of the company, we were willing to produce a more expensive,
yet vastly superior product, for the benefit of people that wish to have products
that actually work.
To remove dead skin cells from your body, and have a healthier, vital and
toned skin, you need to exfoliate it regularly - especially areas that are
prone to flakiness, like your shins and the top of your arms.
Our Refining Body Scrub effectively removes the dead cells, with
a combination of finely ground apricot kernel meal and specialist wax phyto
beads - and at the same time gives your skin a boost with its range of active
ingredients.
The botanical extracts and range of volatile essences contained, are selected
to help regenerate and balance the skin, nourish, boost collagen, improve
circulation - and as a result leaves you not only with a clear, satin smooth
skin, but with a vital, healthy looking skin as well.
Since our Refining Body Scrub is more than just a mere exfoliating medium, it
is better to leave it on your skin for a few minutes after you have finished the
scrubbing action, to give the active ingredients time to penetrate the skin and
achieve their goals.
We believe that consumers should be well informed, and for this reason we
list our ingredients, and provide a hyperlink per ingredient to a page dealing
specifically with that ingredient, in order for consumers to understand why the
ingredient was included in the formulation.
