Hair transplants using the micro technique will transplant individual hair from the harvested site to the area requiring hair, and after about 6 weeks the transplanted hair will fall out and a new hair will later
grow from this site.
A number of sessions will be required to transplant enough hair, but has the distinct advantage that it is far more natural looking and does not create a "punchy" or "bushy" effect on the balding area.
In order to have a successful hair transplant, you need to have a healthy donor site on your head to obtain healthy hair from and since several sessions are necessary it may take up to two years to obtain good results.

- Numbness may be experienced in the donor and transplant site and it may take some months for feeling to return.
- There is a certain level of discomfort as well as bruising and swelling with this procedure and the plastic surgeon may also prescribe some special care and precautions that will need to be followed before and after the procedure.
- Although the micro technique of hair transplants gives a far more natural look, it is still problematic if a large area needs to be covered, and the survival of the transplanted hair cannot be guaranteed.
