A myth that some people still believe in, is that a cleanser, wash or soap must be drying to sort out skin problems - since they believe that the drying action will dry out the pimples and acne.

- Salicylic Acid
- This ingredient is included in our range of products as it contains beta hydroxy acids, which gently exfoliates the skin and cleans within the pores, preventing the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, spots, zits and pimples. This bio-available ingredient is obtained from willow bark, making it a natural anti-septic and antifungal agent to use for sloughing off dead skin cells.

- Tea tree oil

It also possesses balsamic properties, which sooths irritated and inflamed skin, successfully helping to treat and clear problem skin.
- Mandarin
- This ingredient is used in our problem skin products to fight infections and remove congestion from the skin. It helps in the treatment of acne scarring and also purifies and rebalances the skin, which will help heal and prevent the formation of acne, pimples, spots and zits.
- Horse chestnut extract
- This extract protects and strengthens the veins and capillaries, prevents cellular filtration (leaking), promotes better and healthier collagen, fights inflammation - thus making it an all-round promoter of better, healthier and younger looking skin. Because of all the wonderful qualities of horse chestnut extract, it is one of our "signature ingredients" and is found in the majority of our products.
- Green tea extract
- It is well known to contain potent anti-oxidant properties and is proven to be beneficial to the skin when used topically and the skin effectively absorbs the EGCC contained in this extract. Green tea is proven to reduce inflammation, which is present when suffering from skin problems such as acne and pimples – it is the inflammatory condition that causes the skin redness. It also stimulates microcirculation in the skin, directly influencing the health of the skin. These effects are extremely important when looking at treating problem skin, as proper circulation effectively removes toxins from the skin, while reducing inflammation will help clear up skin problems.
- Centella asiatica extract
