Nail and Cuticle BalmAlthough the modern tendency is to use a thin type of oil as a cuticle moisturizing and nourishing agent, we have found that the best results are still obtained by using a rich and nourishing balm type of product. Many people use hand cream often, yet very seldom look after the special needs of their cuticles and nails, which will then respond by snagging, hooking and tearing. This product has been discontinued.
Benefits of our Nail and Cuticle BalmIf you struggle with nails that are brittle and look less than great, as well as cuticles that tear, snag and hook, then you can benefit by using a specialized product for your nails and cuticles. In the past it was held that cuticles should not be cut as a matter of course, and this still rings true, even if it may be easier in the short term to simply snip away torn cuticles. With this in mind, a person should look after the cuticles and nails in such a way as to ensure that they are properly lubricated and moisturized to prevent them cracking and tearing. Although it is now in vogue to make cuticle conditioning products in a light oil format, we have after extensive experimentation found that the best way to treat this, is to treat them to a very thick, nearly solid, type of cream, which has to be massaged into the cuticle. If you are looking for an easy quick-fix solution, then do not buy this Nail and Cuticle Balm - as it takes regular applications and massaging into the nails and cuticles - but it does produce the most wonderful effects after about 2 weeks. The balm will also feed and nourish the nail when applied on non-varnished nails, and will greatly help to prevent brittle, dry and flaky nails, as this balm is formulated to penetrate deeply and to moisturize these areas (that can be very dry). IngredientsWe believe that consumers should be well informed, and for this reason we list our ingredients, and provide a hyperlink per ingredient to a page dealing specifically with that ingredient, in order for consumers to understand why the ingredient was included in the formulation.
