Dragon’s blood

This resin is obtained from the Croton Lechleri tree and is primarily included in our problem skin care range for the well-documented effects it has on preventing and healing inflammatory skin conditions – which is exactly what pimples and acne are.
Dragon’s blood will help sort out acne, pimples, spots and zits, by fighting and scavenging bacteria, viruses and free radicals.
Apart from this, it also relieves skin itching, swelling, discomfort and pain caused by acne, pimples, spots and zits. The ingredient also helps protect the DNA in the skin cells from genetic mutation.

ACNET^®

The patented ingredient AC Net, has been clinically tested and is found to have several positive influences, which remove and prevent acne, problem skin, pimples and zits.
It fights hyper seborrhea (excessive oiliness) in the skin, cutting down excess production of sebum by 54.1%, and reduces inflammation in the skin by up to 72%.
It completely inactivates bacteria and yeast infections, which commonly cause acne, pimples and zits and also corrects the abnormal shedding of skin cells (hyperkeratinization), which causes skin pores to clog.
90% of the test volunteers in the clinical trials on ACNET reported that their skin felt more comfortable all day long when using a product containing this very advanced ACNET molecule.

Bacocalmine™

This patented ingredient is included in our products at the specified concentration to calm and soothe acne and problem skin.
Clinical trials were done on Bacocalmine to support the claims made by the developer of this molecule.
It calmed irritated skin in 100% of the test volunteers and has an anti-oxidizing effect, while fighting fungal infection normally present in acne skin and furthermore, clears and neutralizes toxins on the skin.

Horse Chestnut

This extract protects and strengthens the veins and capillaries, prevents cellular filtration (leaking), promotes better and healthier collagen, fights inflammation - thus making it an all-round promoter of better, healthier and younger looking skin.
Because of all the wonderful qualities of horse chestnut extract, it is one of our "signature ingredients" and is found in the majority of our products.

Borage

Borage oil is included in our problem skin range of products as it has beneficial effects on problem prone skin. It helps to soften and soothe the skin, while reducing skin redness, especially in sensitive skins.
Borage is also shown to be effective in treating and preventing inflammatory skin conditions and disorders.

Green Tea

It is well known to contain potent anti-oxidant properties and is proven to be beneficial to the skin when used topically and the skin effectively absorbs the EGCC contained in this extract.
Green tea is proven to reduce inflammation, which is present when suffering from skin problems such as acne and pimples – it is the inflammatory condition that causes the skin redness. It also stimulates microcirculation in the skin, directly influencing the health of the skin.
These effects are extremely important when looking at treating problem skin, as proper circulation effectively removes toxins from the skin, while reducing inflammation will help clear up skin problems.

Centella asiatica extract

Centella asiatica is included in the entire Problem Skin Care Range, as it has extraordinary healing effects on the skin.
It helps in the healing of any lesions, and prevents excess scar tissue from forming on the healing wounds. Centella asiatica helps to repair the walls of the veins and capillaries in the skin, thereby promoting healthy circulation. It also improves tissue firmness and elasticity, improving skin appearance and comfort.
This ingredient has so many wonderful properties that it is included as a "signature" ingredient in our products.

Tea tree

Tea tree has extremely effective anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, which work against a wide range of gram positive and negative fungi, viruses and bacteria. It also possesses balsamic properties, which sooths irritated and inflamed skin, successfully helping to treat and clear problem skin.

Vitamin E

Tocopherol (the cosmetic name for vitamin E) is included in our Problem Skin Spot Treatment and Night Lotion as it is an extremely effective anti-oxidant, helping with wound healing and the penetration of other active ingredients into the skin.
It helps protect the skin against the effects of UV radiation. An important feature of the ingredient is the anti-inflammatory effect it has on the skin.

Rosehip

Rosehip is high in bio-available vitamin C, which boosts the regeneration of the skin, with a calming function as well.
Apart from this it has a “cooling” effect on inflamed skin and has excellent astringent and moisturizing qualities – especially useful in fighting dry and traumatized skin, preventing the formation of fibrous tissue when a wound is healing.

Olive leaf extract

This is used in our Problem Skin Range for its skin healing properties. It is also used for the benefit it has on repairing sun-damaged skin.
Olive leaf extract is easily absorbed through the skin and stimulates the components of the connective tissue, which helps clear the skin of impurities and promotes healthy oxygenated skin.
It has a positive effect on fibroblast, with excellent anti-oxidant effects, protecting the DNA of the cells. It also has antiviral and antimicrobial properties against fungi and bacteria – making it ideal to include in products developed to fight skin problems.

MSM (methylsulfonyl methane)

This natural ingredient is included in our Problem Skin Spot Treatment and Problem Skin Face Mask, to help heal any lesions caused by acne and pimples.
This ingredient also helps keep the skin pliable and prevents the cross-linking of collagen fibers, which helps prevent aging.

Vitamin A

We use retinyl palmitate in our Problem Skin Spot Treatment, as it stimulates wound-healing, cell division, regulates cell formation and is readily absorbed by the skin.
Retinyl Palmitate is a type of vitamin A that does not overly sensitize the skin and improves the elasticity of the skin, increasing the enzyme activity of the skin, while normalizing and calming sun damaged skin.

Palmarosa

Palmarosa helps to moisturize and hydrate the skin, stimulating cell regeneration.
It balances the production of sebum (skin oil), keeps the skin supple and elastic and is valuable for use with skin problems. Apart from rejuvenating and regenerating the skin, it is also most valuable to prevent scarring when wounds heal.
It has antiviral and bactericidal properties, which makes it ideal in fighting skin infections, while it also assists in healing.

Sulfur

This ancient treatment for problem skin is included in our Problem Skin Spot Treatment to effectively remove those irritating small blemishes such as, zits, spots and pimples.
It helps to kill bacteria and germs, reduces the inflammation caused by pimples and acne and controls seborrhea (excessive oiliness).
This ingredient was even used by Hippocrates to treat acne and problem skin conditions and is still considered an effective treatment for acne skin lesions, as it also has keratolytic properties, which is most effective in treating acne.
